A new bids&tenders update is here! We are happy to announce the release of bids&tenders version 3.12.1. All new features are available as of Thursday, September 29.

In addition to a new login page, featuring a modern design and recent news stories to keep you informed on updates, events, new clients and industry news, the update will include the following changes.

Bid Management:

  • Mandatory selection of a purchasing representative (requested by the bids&tenders User Group)
  • A new column in Bid Export Reports for the number of Addenda issued (requested by the Ruby Phan, City of Vaughan)
  • An option to add a custom message that appears at the bottom of Addenda or question exports
  • Automatic email confirmations when vendors  submit questions (requested by the Town of Newmarket and the bids&tenders User Group)
  • An option to add team members to emails (requested by York Region and the bids&tenders User Group)
  • An option to check for all open bids with incomplete questions and export this information with the bid number and question (requested by the bids&tenders User Group)
  • An option to limit who can publish and see bids, and to give departments special access so they can only see bids they are involved with (requested by Simcoe County District School Board)

eBidding:

  • An option to have two totals per line in your bid forms (requested by the City of Brantford, the Town of Newmarket and the bids&tenders User Group)
  • If you don’t have a summary table set up or selected, the summary table section no longer appears (requested by York Region, the Town of Newmarket and the City of St. John's
  • Taxes displayed in a row instead of a column, if your price forms automatically calculate tax (requested by the City of St.John's)
  • A new configurable text area for providing instructions to bidders or as an introduction of the agency

Contracts:

  • More support for WSIB equivalent certificate types from other provinces and the ability to disable WSIB tracking
